Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Breakthrough Cincinnati!
Breakthrough Cincinnati provides an academic enrichment program for youth from underserved Cincinnati communities. Students are rising 6th-9th graders who attend our multi-week summer program to learn and have fun. Our volunteering opportunities primarily occur during the summer program. But we are happy to discuss school year opportunities too!

Breakthrough Cincinnati's summer session runs the months of June and July, and peeks into August. This includes the staff training weeks, the multiple weeks of programming with students, and a few days of wrap-up. The daily schedule runs from 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Volunteers may commit to full or part-day. We may be able to coordinate bus transportation for student alumni wishing to volunteer.

We are looking for volunteers to work as classroom aides, and to assist with projects during the summer program and beyond. There is flexibility in scheduling and the kinds of duties available. All we ask for is commitment and a positive attitude.

During the school year, BTC offers weekly tutoring, quarterly Super Saturdays, and advisory meetings once a month. These engagements allow for lots of flexibility offering in-person and virtual connections.

We review Summer Volunteer Applications in Feb/Mar.

Please complete the following application. It should take 10-15 minutes to complete. After submission, a BTC staff member will contact you to discuss the opportunity further. You may be contacted by phone or email. To avoid missing critical communication, please add btcprogram@breakthroughcincinnati.org to your safe-senders list.

We look forward to learning how you want to make a difference and connecting you to our program.
